ARET ENKARA SAFARIS
Take a walk on the wild side on a Kenyan safari
The words “Aret Enkera” mean “Helping Children” in Maa, the language of the Maasai. At the Orbit Village Project, we are very focused on helping children. Over the years, many of our volunteers have enjoyed a safari while in the country. We also encourage sponsors who come to Kenya to take their sponsor children on a short safari. This is a great way for them to bond while experience the amazing wildlife together.
Our Director and Founder, Cyndy B. Waters is an award winning photographer. While on workshops, she meets other photographers who express an interest in coming to see the project and go on a photographic safari. Several have come to Kenya and she has personally taken them on safari while also guiding and instructing them in safari photography.
In looking for new ways to draw others to the project, we realized adding a non profit safari branch to our ministry was a perfect solution, while at the same time exposing our young adults to the benefits of considering the tourism industry as a career choice. Tourism is one of the most dynamic and beneficial economic activities of Kenya. We believe the benefits of tourism should be widely spread in society and underpriviledged communities should also benefit from Kenya’s tourism development. In 2022, we launched Aret Enkera Safaris.
Aret Enkera creates personal itineraries to suit our volunteer and guests’ desires. Whether single person, a family of four with young children, a honeymooning couple, a mission trip, photography workshop or personalized photographic safari, we can arrange for you a fabulous adventure. We will organize everything from the perfect accommodation, to private transfers by air or land. Additionally, we can provide visits to our different projects and local village visits to learn about different cultures.
We also offer you the opportunity to spend time volunteering at Orbit and sharing your gifts with the children. You can teach a class, ready book, talk, host a tea party, meet medical needs, or so many other things.
Come safari with us and experience real life Africa.
